We have done a fair bit of exploration around the Old Town;
which is characterized by small winding streets, Spanish colonial style
buildings, spectacular views of the valley in which the city is located, a
plethora of street food vendors and many squares and parks in which people enjoy their leisure time by relaxing and socializing.
One of our typical afternoons getting to know the Old Town
might involve:
-a leisurely walk around the side
streets followed by a long lunch
-more relaxed walking, possibly
some sitting in a park
-possibly stopping to get an
espresso and possibly some more sitting around
- maybe some more strolling and
stopping when we see a place to buy a pastry or beer or ice-cream
*so needless to say our
exploration has been largely centered around eating and drinking-which I only
consider to be a positive thing
